About this session
This workshop introduces planners, particularly graduate members on the pathway to full membership, to key concepts in professional ethics. It covers the NZPI Code of Ethics and its application to planning work scenarios, identifying ethical issues in day-to-day practice, and resolving ethical issues with appropriate sources of support.
Workshop Overview
Two-day consecutive workshop (24-25 September, 9:00am-11:00am each day). Attendance on both days is mandatory. Compulsory CPD requirement for members seeking Full NZPI membership and required refresh for Full members every three years.
Learning Outcomes
Apply the NZPI Code of Ethics to practical scenarios; identify ethical issues as they arise in planning work; understand ways of resolving ethical issues and sources of information and support.
Who Should Attend
Targeted to planners on the pathway to full membership. Also for Full members refreshing ethics knowledge (required every three years). Full members may alternatively consider 'Ethics and Digital Technologies' workshop.
