About this session
This workshop focuses on recent case law (from the last couple of years) under the Resource Management Act and provides practical guidance on how these cases apply to planning practice. Topics covered include judicial review, planning policy and plan making, consenting and designations, Māori considerations, freshwater management, coastal and landscape matters.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session attendees will understand recent caselaw under the RMA and how it may affect their day to day planning practice in: judicial review, planning policy and plan making, consenting and designations, Māori considerations, freshwater management, coastal and landscape.
Toolkit Provided
Attendees will receive a case law book with case notes of all cases referred to and a copy of the PowerPoint slides to be delivered on the day. Case notes provide a typically one to two page summary of key facts and legal principles of each case.
