DESCRIPTION:Maternity Emergency Program – Foundation Course (MEP-FC) is a
  simulation workshop designed for medical and midwifery staff who are eith
 er new/junior who may have limited birthing exposure. It is a case-based s
 ession following a woman’s labour\, birth and post-natal period with the
  management of her complications. The day is broken down into: Interactive
  case discussion and management Skills stations with application into a si
 mulated environment Supported debriefing to enable learners to improve the
 ir knowledge of clinical practice CPD hours This activity is approved for 
 7.5 CPD hours\, including 4 hours under ‘Educational Activities’\, 2.5
  hours under ‘Performance Review’ and 1 hour under ‘Outcome Measurem
 ent’.
